STAND, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Group Facilitator to provide structured group services to individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.

The role emphasizes group-facilitation, documentation, confidentiality, and adherence to CARF A.S.P.I.R.E. to Excellence standards, with sessions four to six hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have group-facilitation experience in behavioral health.
• Experience delivering recovery-focused content using approved curricula.
• Ability to complete timely BIRP progress notes (within 48 hours).
• Maintain documentation and attendance records.
• Pass a Federal Live Scan background check and urine drug screen.

STAND, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Group Facilitator to provide structured group services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental-health and substance-use disorders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong facilitation skills, sound clinical or recovery-support knowledge, timely documentation practices, and a commitment to person-centered care. This position is well suited for a credentialed professional who enjoys helping individuals strengthen their recovery skills, improve personal accountability, and achieve meaningful change.

Compensation:

• $55 - $75 per hour, depending on certification or licensure levels and experience
• Flexible between 9AM - 1PM, Mondays - Friday

Role Responsibilities

• Facilitate four to six one-hour group sessions each week for individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental-health and substance-use disorders.
• Prepare and deliver engaging, recovery-focused group content using approved curricula and evidence-based practices.
• Create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages participant engagement.
• Complete all required BIRP progress notes accurately and within 48 hours of each group session.
• Maintain complete and accurate attendance and service documentation.
• Communicate participant concerns, behavioral changes, safety issues, and follow-up needs to the appropriate program or clinical staff.
• Maintain participant confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy, ethical, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Embrace and support CARF A.S.P.I.R.E. to Excellence® standards.
• Participate in regular staff meetings, supervision, and required staff training.
• Contribute to the development of positive, collaborative, and professional team relationships.
• Maintain all licenses, certifications, credentials, and required professional insurance throughout employment.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways:

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Certified Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CCADC)
• Georgia Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level III (GCADC III)
• Master Addiction Counselor (MAC)
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
• Georgia Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level II (GCADC II)
• Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (CAC-II)
• Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (CAC-I)
• Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES)
• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession with at least five years of relevant experience

Candidates must also:

• Have experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders.
• Demonstrate effective group-facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to complete accurate, objective, and timely BIRP progress notes.
• Be able to pass a Federal Live Scan background check and urine drug screening.
• Maintain all applicable licenses, certifications, credentials, and professional insurance in active status.
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of substance use, recovery principles, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and co-occurring disorders.
• Experience working in an intensive outpatient, behavioral-health, recovery-support, or community-based treatment setting.
• Familiarity with CARF standards and quality-improvement practices.
• Ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of readiness for change.
