Job summary

Westinghouse WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Contract Grid Inspector for the Columbia facility. The role requires detailed dimensional and visual inspections of production parts, with interpretation of drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be capable of working all shifts, pass safety and background checks, and have about 2 years of manufacturing experience. On-site position with $22–$24/hour compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Must pass Psychological/Safety Assessment.
• Must pass stringent background drug screen and medical.
• Can stand, sit, push, pull, kneel, bend and lift and carry 35 lbs.
• 2 Years Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform detailed dimensional and visual inspection of production parts using standard measurement tools and gages.
• Overcheck shipping documents and verify records to meet Westinghouse expectations.
• Read and interpret drawings and standards to determine dimensional and requirement.
• Review internal/external contract schedules and meet daily production needs.
• Manage non-conforming material with proper documentation in the hold system.
• Promptly communicate quality issues to necessary levels of support.
