Crinetics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a contract FP&A Analyst to support the Finance team during budgeting and forecasting. The role, hybrid from our San Diego HQ, involves data cleanup, report creation, and ad-hoc analysis for multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has a finance-related degree, 1+ year FP&A experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. R&D biotech/pharma experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in corporate finance or FP&A.
• Strong understanding of financial reports (P&L).
• Familiarity with FP&A software and ERP platforms (Netsuite/Adaptive preferred).
• Proficient in Excel with precise attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes.
• Assist with data cleanup, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Build reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Analyze P&Ls and identify trends to improve forecasting.
• Provide timely, accurate financial information to stakeholders.
• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Maintain monthly financial reports for budget owners.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
