Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a dedicated in-service education coordinator to plan, develop, direct, and evaluate educational programs across the facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will direct training initiatives, manage materials, and report to administration to maintain high standards of resident care.

The role requires California LVN/LPN or RN licensure, DSD certification, and experience in supervision and teaching.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Clear & Active LVN/LPN or RN license in California.
• Must be DSD Certified.
• Experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs.
• Incorporate commercially produced instruction material and training aids into existing in-service programs as deemed necessary.
• Provide leadership in formulating goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of this facility.
• Develop, evaluate and control the quality of in-service educational programs in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Secure, develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing forms, reports, class attendance and subject records.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the administrator concerning in-service training programs.

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
