Motion Recruitment is seeking an Accountant to join a global entertainment client in Hollywood, California. This onsite contract role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, analytics, and reporting for theatrical operations on both international and domestic segments.

The position is a 5- to 9-month contract with potential extension, offering a pay rate of $57 per hour. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 3–4 years of experience, including time at a Big Four

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3-4 years related experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience with a big four CPA firm.
• Experience with financial analysis and US GAAP.
• Experience with SAP and BW.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly journal entries in support of close, including revenue and distribution cost accruals, royalties and participations.
• Prepare quarterly results package, P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis.
• Prepare lead schedules and support for international territory statutory filings.
• Prepare management reporting and analysis focused on global film performance.
• Review contracts and propose accounting treatment.
• Reconcile sub-system feeds to G/L.
• Support in-territory Business Decision Support with ad-hoc reporting.
• Prepare quarterly roll forward and supplemental schedules.
• Monitor and clear suspense accounts for multiple interfaces.
• Perform accounting activities related to Feature Film accounting.
• Special projects as requested by management.
