WorkGenius Group in Los Angeles is seeking an Accountant II to support month-end close, prepare journal entries including revenue, distribution costs, and royalty calculations, and assist with ERP system implementation.

The role covers close analyses, P&L and balance sheet variance reviews, and management reporting for the entertainment division's global operations. Strong Excel and SAP/BW experience are essential; US GAAP/IFRS knowledge is preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–4 years of related experience.
• At least 2 years with a Big Four CPA firm.
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS/international accounting.
• Strong Excel skills including financial modeling; SAP/BW experience.
• CPA or CPA-in-progress and entertainment industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries supporting close, including revenue and distribution cost accruals, barter and gross-to-net transactions, royalties and participations, title allocations, and bad-debt allowances.
• Prepare quarterly results packages, P&L and Balance Sheet variance analyses, roll-forwards, supplemental schedules, and management reporting focused on global film performance.
• Complete monthly reconciliations, including Goods Receipts/Invoice Receipt maintenance, prepayments, gross-to-net deals, subsystem feeds to the G/L, and suspense accounts across multiple interfaces.
• Prepare lead schedules and support international territory statutory filings, feature film accounting, and ad hoc reporting and analysis for in-territory business decision support teams.
• Review contracts to determine accounting treatment and support special projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system. Overtime may be required around quarterly close; no travel is expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–4 years of related experience, including at least 2 years with a Big Four CPA firm.
• Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP, international accounting or IFRS, and advanced accounting concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP and Business Warehouse (BW); ERP implementation experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, nested formulas, and financial modeling; experience with Hyperion, Essbase, or Oracle EPM is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, problem‑solving, and deadline‑management skills; CPA or CPA‑in‑progress and entertainment industry experience are preferred.
