Qualifications

• Ability to design controlled heat-transfer environments and manage heat loss.
• Experience with HVAC airflow, duct testing, and measurement systems.
• Capability to design mechanical test apparatus and fixtures in a shop.
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation and calibration processes.
• Proficiency with data acquisition, logging, and reporting.
• Understanding of safety interlocks, alarms, and electrical controls.
• Familiarity with ASTM/ULHVAC test environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to translate test needs into practical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review test requirements and identify equipment and measurement needs.
• Design test unit and select instrumentation; develop controls concept.
• Coordinate with shop, maintenance, and facility resources.
• Assist fabrication, assemble or oversee assembly, and commission.
• Validate stability and repeatability with baseline runs and checks.
• Produce maintenance, troubleshooting, and user procedures.
