Job summary

Mercor partners with a leading technology organization to recruit experienced Electrical Design Specialists for a short-term project. Specialists will apply hands-on industry experience to analyze, evaluate, and solve complex electrical design and system-level engineering problems.

Responsibilities include developing and reviewing electrical designs, performing load flow and short-circuit analyses, and validating designs against standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on industry experience in electrical design or specialists roles.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NEC or equivalent codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical designs based on technical requirements and system performance.
• Design and review electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and components including power and distribution.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications.
• Perform electrical calculations: load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit, protection coordination, sizing.
• Evaluate design alternatives and validate designs against project requirements.
