Job summary

AZAD is seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing setting. You will partner with Facilities, site leadership, and supervisors to implement EHS programs, conduct ergonomic assessments and job safety reviews, and address incident investigations and corrective actions.

The role is a full-time consultant position based in Klamath Falls, OR, for a 3–6 month project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with ergonomic assessments, safety inspections, and JSA/JHA.
• Experience with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of staff.
• HAZWOPR or GHS training preferred; wastewater management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain EHS programs with Facilities and site leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with OSHA, EPA, fire departments and other authorities for inspections and permits.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.
• Perform JSA and JHA for manufacturing processes.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective action plans.
• Deliver safety training and lead Safety Committee activities.
• Inspect equipment, review projects for safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain electronic EHS records and coordinate programs such as CPR/AED and forklift training.
