Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer (Contract) to support repairs of aircraft structures. You will develop design solutions, interpret drawings, and collaborate with Static Stress and F&D teams to ensure airworthiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
0–6 years total design experience in airframe structures and/or system installation projects.
Authorized to Work in the US without visa sponsorship.
Must be local to the Wichita, KS metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

Develop design solutions for repair tasks across simple to routine projects.
Review damage reports and develop quality repair solutions with support.
Collaborate with Static Stress, F&D and other Airbus departments to identify optimum repair solutions.
Create or modify technical documents such as Repair Instructions and Repair Drawings in Airbus apps.
Provide clear responses to routine repair queries and communicate progress to supervision.
