Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from a recognized educational institution.
• 10 years of progressively responsible experience in civil law and public agency representation.
• Current membership in the State Bar of California.
• Veteran's Preference: submit DD Form 214 by the job posting deadline.
• A negative drug test is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice, counsel, and representation for the District on legal matters.
• Assist with internal operations of the General Counsel's office and represent the District at state and national levels.
• Assist in overseeing budget preparation, personnel, facilities and related support activities.
• May oversee other programs as assigned and perform other related duties.
