Overview

We are seeking a part-time Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will assist in designing and implementing data solutions to support our organization's data needs.

Responsibilities

1. Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems including ETL processes, stored procedures, etc.
2. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
3. Design, develop and maintain SSIS packages in an Azure environment.
4. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
5. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
6. Work with the team to implement new technologies such as Azure Fabric/Data Factory/Databricks.

Qualifications

1. Strong experience in database design and management.
2. Knowledge of Data warehouse concepts and technology such as Azure Synapse.
3. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
4. 5+ years of demonstrable ability to write complex, high-performant SQL queries in Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
5. 5+ years of experience in the design, development and management of SSIS ETL packages.
6. 2+ years of experience in working in Azure SQL database environments.
7. Experience with large-scale databases (500m+ records).
8. Bachelor’s degree or better.

Role Type: Contract Anticipated Hours: 20 Hours Per Week
