Job summary

Addison Group is recruiting an Interim Controller in Wilmington, NC to manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, cash receipting, payroll, GL and financial reporting. The role also oversees patient finance and coordinates with leadership on budgets.

Supervises staff and adapts to agency scheduling needs. The position requires a degree in Business Administration with Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred, and at least 5 years supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy/Finance.
• CPA preferred.
• 5 years of related experience with supervisory responsibilities; patient financial services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness with leadership guidance.
• Develop and enforce policies within the financial accounting division.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, billing, GL, and financial reporting.
• Supervise staff: training, assigning work, performance reviews.
• Assist with annual operating and capital budget preparation.
• Oversee internal audits and control management processes.
• Prepare supplemental financial reports for Board and leadership.
