Job summary

On-Board Industrial Solutions in Texas City, TX, is seeking a Construction Safety Superintendent for a contract outage (4-6 weeks) with potential for more assignments. The role requires leading onsite safety, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in construction safety leadership and a CSP or equivalent certification is a plus. Per diem is available; drug and background screenings are required.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in construction safety management or equivalent onsite safety leadership.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Hazard recognition and incident investigation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with crews and site leadership.
• Ability to work independently and provide safety leadership in active construction environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and identify hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Work with construction crews and subcontractors to promote safe work practices.
• Provide safety training and guidance to construction personnel.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain required safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company requirements, and industry standards.
• Serve as an onsite safety resource and provide guidance to supervision and field personnel.
