Job summary

Sotereon.AI is seeking a mid‑level .NET Backend Engineer to join our on‑site team in Tampa, FL. You will design, develop, and maintain robust cloud services for real‑time analytic data, building microservices and APIs while ensuring scalable infrastructure.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deploy containerized apps, write clean code following SOLID, and manage cloud deployments with logging and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with GCP/AWS/Azure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong backend with C#, .NET Core/Framework and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka and Kubernetes in distributed, cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.

This mid-level role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust cloud services to support the evaluation, storage, and distribution of real-time analytic data. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building microservices and APIs, managing scalable infrastructure, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-performance solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate containerized applications into production systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• Proficiency in C#, .NET (Core and Framework), and SQL for backend development.


• Hands‑on experience with Kafka and Kubernetes in distributed, cloud-native environments.


• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.


• Demonstrated experience supporting real-time or near-real-time systems in production environments.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.


• Demonstrated experience deploying, managing, and maintaining microservices in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) production environments; experience with AWS or Azure is also acceptable.


• Experience with publish–subscribe messaging systems, with Kafka strongly preferred.
