Job summary

The Arkema Group is seeking a Contract Chemist to support the application development lab for coatings, adhesives, graphic arts and personal care markets in Exton, PA. You will formulate, test, and analyze resin systems, using DSC, TGA, DMA, TMA and FTIR among other equipment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to screen and commercialize new technologies, maintain meticulous notebooks, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/related field with 0–2 years of lab experience.
• Strong knowledge of organic chemistry and materials testing.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; good organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Plan and safely conduct laboratory experimentation.
• Set up equipment, prepare and test formulation properties.
• Use analytical equipment to collect data and support R&D capabilities.
• Perform data analysis and document results.
• Maintain a lab notebook and generate internal reports.
• Collaborate with product development, business development, marketing and sales.
