Job summary

Transnetyx is seeking a Contract Billing Specialist to own end-to-end customer billing for our global business. You will interpret contracts, manage recurring billing and mid-term changes, and collaborate with Commercial, Sales Operations, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure accurate invoices.

The role emphasizes rigorous attention to detail, strong accounting fundamentals, and customer-focused service. This is a remote position available to U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years of contract or customer billing experience with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with recurring subscription billing and billing terms interpretation.
• Proficient in ERP/billing systems and Excel for data reconciliation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, purchase orders, and amendments to prepare accurate invoices per billing terms.
• Interpret billing schedules, milestones, recurring charges, and contract modifications.
• Manage recurring subscription billing including renewals and mid-term changes.
• Process Time & Materials invoices by reconciling data against contracts.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Sales Ops, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure proper billing setup.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and revenue reporting.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections as needed.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

This fully remote position is open to U.S. candidates only who are located in Eastern or Central Time Zones.What You'll DoReview customer contracts, purchase orders, and amendments to prepare accurate invoices in accordance with contractual billing terms.Interpret billing schedules, payment milestones, recurring charges, and contract modifications.Manage recurring subscription billing, including renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and mid-term contract changes.Process Time & Materials (T&M) invoices by reconciling labor, usage, and expense data against customer agreements.Partner with Commercial, Sales Operations, Customer Success, and Finance teams to ensure customer contracts are accurately established for billing.Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, customer questions, and invoice disputes promptly and professionally.Maintain accurate customer billing records and contract information within billing and CRM platforms.Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and revenue reporting.Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections communications as appropriate.Recommend process improvements that increase billing accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and revenue recognition guidelines.What You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a bonus.
