V2Soft is seeking a Senior Automotive Electrical Component Design Engineer for a contract role in Saline, MI. Responsibilities include design and application of electrical components across vehicle platforms, packaging ECUs and sensors, and ensuring quality, performance, cost, and timing.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), 5+ years in vehicle development, and strong CATIA V5 skills, with experience collaborating with suppliers and supporting production vehicle

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of vehicle development experience.
• 5+ years of experience collaborating with suppliers.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 for 3D data and drawings.
• Experience supporting a production vehicle trial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leveraging AI to improve efficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and apply electrical components for multiple vehicle platforms, including packaging ECUs and sensors.
• Develop related components to meet quality, performance, cost, and timing requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers across programs and manage cross-functional interfaces.
• Plan, schedule, and multi-task with multiple stakeholders; ensure milestones are met.
• Support production vehicle trials and validate in-vehicle performance.
• Communicate clearly with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and design processes.
