V2Soft is seeking a Senior Automotive Electrical Component Design Engineer for a contract role in Saline, MI. Responsibilities include design and application of electrical components across vehicle platforms, packaging ECUs and sensors, and ensuring quality, performance, cost, and timing.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), 5+ years in vehicle development, and strong CATIA V5 skills, with experience collaborating with suppliers and supporting production vehicle

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of vehicle development experience.
• 5+ years of experience collaborating with suppliers.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 for 3D data and drawings.
• Experience supporting a production vehicle trial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leveraging AI to improve efficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and apply electrical components for multiple vehicle platforms, including packaging ECUs and sensors.
• Develop related components to meet quality, performance, cost, and timing requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers across programs and manage cross-functional interfaces.
• Plan, schedule, and multi-task with multiple stakeholders; ensure milestones are met.
• Support production vehicle trials and validate in-vehicle performance.
• Communicate clearly with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and design processes.

Job Description

looking for a passionate and highly motivated Contract Engineer responsible for the design and application of electrical components across multiple vehicle and mobility platforms including packaging ECU's & sensors, and development of related components to ensure quality, performance, cost, and timing requirements are met for each electronics system.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering discipline, Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of vehicle development process.
• Fundamental understanding of vehicle manufacturing process.
• 5 or more demonstrated years of experience collaborating with suppliers.
• Proficient in CATIA v5 for parametric 3D data and drawing preparation. (4+ yrs)
• 5 or more years of vehicle development experience.
• 4 yrs demonstrated abilities in planning/scheduling, multi-tasking and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting a production vehicle trial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Documented problem-solving experience [solve problems and communicate].
• Experience leveraging AI to improve efficiency.
