Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Part-Time Contract Attorney to support commercial contracting across the business. This role is fully remote and will partner with internal teams to draft, review, and negotiate client, vendor, and partner agreements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in commercial contracts, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to identify risks while delivering practical, business-friendly solutions in a technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar; California Bar admission strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of legal experience focused on commercial contracts, transactional matters, or in-house legal support.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a variety of client/customer and vendor agreements.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, vendor/service agreements, NDAs, and other commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate client, vendor, and partner agreements across the business.
• Identify contractual and business risks and provide practical, commercially minded recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business, sales, operations, finance, technology, and other teams to facilitate negotiations and execution.
• Manage contracting processes remotely and ensure timely execution of agreements.

Growing Legal Services Company seeking experienced Contract attorney to join their team!

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Contract Attorney to provide legal support across the company's commercial contracting activities. This attorney will work closely with internal business teams to draft, review, revise, and negotiate agreements with clients, vendors, and other business partners. The primary focus will be on client-facing commercial agreements and vendor contracts, with responsibility for identifying contractual risks, providing practical legal guidance, and helping the business move agreements efficiently through negotiation and execution. This is an opportunity for an experienced contracts attorney to serve as a hands-on legal resource within a technology-driven organization.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar; California Bar admission strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of legal experience with a significant focus on commercial contracts, transactional matters, or in-house legal support.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a variety of client/customer and vendor agreements.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), vendor/service agreements, NDAs, and other commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of key commercial provisions, including indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, intellectual property, data security, privacy, insurance, payment terms, warranties, termination, and dispute resolution.
• Ability to identify contractual and business risks and provide practical, commercially minded recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Experience working directly with business, sales, operations, finance, technology, or other cross-functional teams to facilitate contract negotiations and execution.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and maintain productive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
