Job summary

Siegfried Rivera seeks an experienced Contract Attorney to handle drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with a strong emphasis on construction matters for sophisticated clients in Florida.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience, a J.D., and active Florida Bar membership, and will work closely with senior attorneys to manage complex negotiations and build long-term client relationships in Miami.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar in good standing.
• At least five years of relevant legal experience.
• Significant contract drafting and negotiation experience; construction experience preferred.
• Excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proactive, motivated, and comfortable taking responsibility for matters.
• Strong interest in professional growth and developing client relationships.
• Knowledge of construction, community association, construction lien, and surety law is a plus.

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements across a broad range of projects.
• Identify legal and business risks and develop practical solutions aligned with client objectives.
• Work directly with attorneys and clients on contract negotiations, interpretation, and project-related issues.
• Conduct legal research and prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Independently manage assignments and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

Job description

Siegfried Rivera is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney with at least five (5) years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, with a strong background in construction contracts. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex construction and development matters for sophisticated clients and to further develop both legal skills and client relationships.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, and is eager to continue developing as an attorney and trusted client advisor. The position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful contract drafting and negotiations, work closely with experienced attorneys and clients, and build substantive expertise and long-term client relationships.
