Job summary

MasTec, through Lemartec, is seeking a Contract and Licensing Administrator to serve as primary liaison between MasTec Legal and Risk Departments and other corporate teams. The role focuses on coordinating bid reviews, contract tracking, licensing compliance, and data analysis across multiple jurisdictions.

You will maintain prime contracts and licenses, monitor expirations, and support reporting on project status and market dynamics.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in contract administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of contract law and terms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate MasTec Legal and Risk review of project bids.
  • Review NDAs and prime contracts with Legal and Risk teams.
  • Maintain and organize prime contracts, amendments, POs, and licenses.
  • Track contract expiration dates and coordinate renewals.
  • Research licensing requirements for new states and locales.
  • Renew licenses with MasTec Licensing Analysts.
  • Prepare bid and contract status reporting.
  • Analyze data on construction projects and market trends.
  • Aggregate data on costs, timelines, and metrics.
  • Conduct trend analysis.

Overview

The Contract and Licensing Administrator serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between Lemartec and the MasTec Legal and Risk Departments, as well as other corporate departments as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Point person responsible for coordinating MasTec’s Legal and Risk departments’ review and submission of project bids.
  • Interface with MasTec’s Legal and Risk departments regarding the review and analysis of project bids, NDAs, and other prime contracts.
  • Maintain and organize executed prime contracts, amendments, purchase orders, and other up-to-date contract records.
  • Track prime contract and master service agreement expiration dates and coordinate with Operations, Business Development, and Senior Legal Counsel to extend, renew, or re-negotiate terms.
  • Research state and local business and contractor licensing regulations to determine requirements to perform work in new states, counties and cities.
  • Work with MasTec Licensing Analysts to renew existing general contractor licenses and maintain licensing compliance in all applicable jurisdictions. Organize all business and state licenses.
  • Prepare and deliver bid and contract status reporting.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to construction projects, market trends, and industry dynamics.
  • Aggregate and organize data related to construction projects, costs, timelines, and other relevant metrics.

Qualifications
  • Possesses superior attention to detail to spot and correct inconsistencies in contracts
  • Has previous experience in customer service and strong communication skills
  • Able to coach and work productively independently and as part of a team
  • Contract Law (Paralegal); knowledge of the language and legality of contractual binding terms and conditions Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
  • 7+ years of prior experience in a contract administration role or a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree
