Job summary

DQS Inc in Schaumburg, Illinois, has an immediate opening for Aerospace Lead Auditors. This is a home-based position with extensive travel, not requiring relocation.

Overview

Immediate opening for Aerospace Lead Auditors who have already achieved AEA or AIEA status.

Positions are home-based with extensive travel; no relocation needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop audit scope and audit plan and manage audit team activities.
• Present audit team conclusions to the customer and review customer resolution of nonconformities.
• Assess customer needs and meet DQS Inc. service and customer satisfaction standards.
• Work independently and project a professional image.
• Apply principles and methods for management systems audits, including ISO‑9001 and AS‑9100.
• Travel extensively as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of four years’ experience in quality systems management.
• Certification as an AS9100 RevD Aerospace Experienced Lead Auditor (AA,AEA,AIEA) in the SAE OASIS database.
• Passed an accredited 40‑hour ISO9001 or AS9100 lead auditor course.
• Experience in implementation of AS9100, AS9110, and/or AS9120 is desired.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to self‑manage and set priorities with demonstrated follow‑through skills.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including MS Office applications.
