Are you a motivated media ad salesperson looking to make a few extra bucks? We are seeking a contract advertising salesperson to sell advertisements in Hakol, our monthly award-winning newspaper; the Maimonides Directory, a healthcare reference book published yearly; and Shalom Lehigh Valley magazine, published every other year. We are also looking for corporate sponsorships.

Responsibilities:

1. Prospect new potential advertisers and advertising opportunities, along with corporate sponsorships.
2. Connect with existing and new potential advertisers via phone and email.
3. Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and existing accounts.
4. Sell ads and complete advertising contracts.
5. Sell corporate sponsorships and complete sponsorship contracts.
6. Obtain press-ready artwork from the advertiser.
7. Track all sales activities.
8. Maintain list of advertisements in each issue.

Our Ideal Candidate:

1. A self-starter motivated to sell media ads.
2. Interested in our non-profit cause and being an integral part of our success.
3. Familiar with the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania.
4. Previous experience in advertising sales.
5. Understanding of print advertising and how it differs from web and social media ads.
6. Excited about connecting with ad buyers (agencies or businesses) to build relationships.
7. Ability to sell media advertising and close ad sales deals.
8. Operate with integrity.
9. Ethical, independent, confident, highly organized, with excellent communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
