Job summary

Cleveland Wheel and Brake Systems (CWBS) seeks a senior Contracts professional to lead enterprise contract governance and risk management. The role advises executives, shapes policy, and oversees complex, high-value agreements across the organization.

You will drive contract standards, support negotiations, and guide teams in implementing contract management systems, ensuring compliance and value creation across CWBS’s aerospace portfolio.

Qualifications

  • + Expert knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • + Proven experience supporting enterprise-level contract functions and executive stakeholders
  • + Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, finance, or related discipline
  • + 6+ years of experience in contracts administration, legal operations, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise contract administration strategy and governance practices.
  • Oversee and approve highly complex, high-risk, or strategically significant contracts.
  • Provide guidance to executives on contract obligations, exposure, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and enforce enterprise-wide contract policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Lead implementation or enhancement of contract management systems and tools.
  • Represent the organization in key negotiations and external contractual discussions.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Serves as an expert-level contracts professional responsible for enterprise-wide contract strategy, policy development, and oversight of highly complex agreements. Advises executives on contractual risk, governance, and business implications while shaping contract administration standards across the organization.

All roles at Signia are expected to support the company’s operating model (SOAR) and contribute to the organization’s business value drivers, Profitable New Business, Productivity, Precision M&A, and Value-Based Pricing, through operational excellence, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.

Key Deliverables of the Position:
  • 1) Lead enterprise contract administration strategy and governance practices.
  • 2) Oversee and approve highly complex, high-risk, or strategically significant contracts.
  • 3) Provide guidance to executives on contract obligations, exposure, and risk mitigation.
  • 4) Develop and enforce enterprise-wide contract policies, standards, and best practices.
  • 5) Lead implementation or enhancement of contract management systems and tools.
  • 6) Represent the organization in key negotiations and external contractual discussions.
  • 7) Supervise or guide contract administration staff and capability development.
  • 8) Support enterprise decision-making related to contract governance and compliance.
  • 9) Support new business opportunities and proposal preparation.
  • 10) Provides recommendations to the company leadership regarding avenues for successful outcomes.
Education and Experience
  • • Expert knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and regulatory requirements
  • • Proven experience supporting enterprise-level contract functions and executive stakeholders
  • • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, finance, or related discipline
  • • 6+ years of experience in contracts administration, legal operations, or related field
  • • Operates with high independence and significant organizational influence

  • 12) Experience in contract forms and the ability to operate accordingly (Ex: ATP, MOU/MOA, LTA's, Side Letters, Follow-ons, etc.)
  • 13) Experience in the development of negotiation planning and strategy
  • 14) Strong negotiations and influencing skills
  • 15) Strong organizational skills
  • 16) Superb communication skills - both verbal and written
  • 17) Ability to handle multiple priorities through efficiency and time management
  • 18) Proficient Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
