Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation, Lubbock District, seeks a Contract Administrator I to oversee complex contract duties for large scope, high-dollar or high-risk agreements. The role requires negotiation, compliance monitoring, and coordinating with procurement, legal staff, and management.

The position offers a yearly salary range from $76,530 to $129,430, with exempt status, onsite work in Lubbock and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 6 years of contract administration, contract management, contract development, or related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and CTCM certification; auditing and investigative methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages policy for advanced and complex contract duties for large scope and high-dollar contracts.
• Oversees execution and administration of contracts by defining requirements and ensuring compliance with policy and law.
• Monitors progress, budgets, expenditures and serves as primary contract liaison with stakeholders.
• Negotiates renewals and amendments; reviews proposals and oversees contract programs.
• Audits invoices for accuracy and compliance; provides training and guidance to staff.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, or a related discipline
