Job summary

The City and County of Denver is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support the Sidewalk Program within DOTI. This full-time, term-limited position focuses on contracted construction and professional services, ensuring compliance and timely deliverables.

You will develop RFQ/P documents, procure projects via Hard Bid, collaborate with the City Attorney's Office, and provide responsive service to internal stakeholders while advancing infrastructure investments.

Qualifications

  • Experienced contract professional with expertise in specialized delivery methods

  • Develops procurement documents for RFQ/P for construction and professional services, collaborating with internal and external agencies
  • Procures construction projects via Hard Bid delivery method
  • Acts as a liaison to the City Attorney's Office and follows pros

This is a limited position funded by the Sidewalk Program with a term end date of December 31, 2028.

The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $68,773 - $90,000/annually, based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule

The City and County of Denver offers a hybrid work model that combines the meaningful impact of public service with the benefits of flexibility. In this role, you'll spend time where you're needed most-on-site and in the community-typically three days per week. Your primary office will be at the Wellington Webb Building, located at 201 W. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80202, giving you a central hub while still enjoying the balance of a flexible schedule. DOTI's Procurement & Contract Division is one of only two entities authorized under the City Charter to perform and contract construction for the City. With the exception of Denver International Airport (DEN), DOTI supports all other city agencies in this mission. This highly specialized three-unit section manages hundreds of contracts, work orders, and task orders each year-ensuring critical projects move forward for our community. We are seeking an experienced contract professional with expertise in specialized delivery methods to join us as a Contract Administrator supporting the Sidewalk Program on the Operational team. In this role, your work will directly contribute to delivering transformative infrastructure investments that shape Denver's future. The Contract Administrator will perform a variety of comprehensive and technical administrative activities within the specialized area of Contract Administration, helping turn voter-approved initiatives into real, lasting improvements for our city. Additionally, this role will support a select portfolio of work with the Operational team, which includes Fleet, Curbside & Parking, and Solid Waste Management.

We are hiring for a full-time, term-limited Contract Administrator supporting the Sidewalk Program and other DOTI operational-related divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal customers and other City agencies in the development of contracts within the functional area.
  • Provides a high-level of service to all agency customers; collaborates with teammates to solve problems and meet organizational needs, and recommends innovation to improve process and procedure.
  • Develops procurement documents for requests for qualification or proposal (RFQ/P) for construction and professional services, collaborating with internal and external agencies in all aspects of the procurement process.
  • Procures construction projects via Hard Bid delivery method.
