Job description

Overview

Open Door Community Health Centers (ODCHC) seeks a Contract Administrator to manage the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with business objectives, legal standards, and state and federal regulations. The role will work closely with legal, finance, procurement, and clinical teams to mitigate risk and maximize contract benefits.

Compensation

$81,154 – $94,213 per year. Successful Hmong or Spanish speakers who pass a language exam will receive a 0.75 hourly differential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, review, and finalize contracts, memoranda of understanding, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure contracts meet Section 330 Grant, HRSA Health Center Program, and other federal and state requirements.
  • Lead all contract‑related processes, tracking each contract through creation, execution, renewal, and compliance stages.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, and sales to align contract terms with company objectives and project timelines.
  • Act as central point of contact for stakeholders across legal, human resources, procurement, finance, and clinical teams, communicating complex terms, risks, and updates.
  • Identify contract risks, inconsistencies, or vague language that could expose ODCHC to legal liability.
  • Support ODCHC’s claims management program, responding to information requests, tenders, and claims‑related inquiries in partnership with the Compliance and Risk Management team.
  • Maintain current knowledge of changes in healthcare legislation affecting FQHCs.
  • Provide general support for alternative workweek administration, including compliance and ongoing management, and liaise with HR leadership and employment attorneys.
  • Manage visa and immigration processes, employee file requests, and related legal matters, including housing leases, labor law compliance, and immigration issues.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a desire to work in a creative environment.
  • Broad understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to review and analyze complex documents and regulatory requirements.
  • Adherence to ODCHC policies and procedures.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in paralegal, healthcare contracting, legal administration, or comparable roles providing the necessary skills.
  • One (3) year(s) of experience reviewing and interpreting laws and regulations.
  • Prior experience in provider contracting, insurance, or a related field is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in contract and policy management software such as DocuSign and PolicyTech.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state labor and civil rights laws, and healthcare operations (Medicare, Medicaid, Health Plans, etc.).
Education & Certifications
  • A degree in paralegal, business, law, health care administration, or equivalent experience.
  • No specific certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
