Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Contract Technician to provide senior-level contract administrative support for the CCSC unit in San Antonio. You will assist with processing requests, invoices, and amendments, manage CAPPS entries, and coordinate travel for leadership while ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with experience in Word and Excel.
• Experience interpreting state and federal policies and regulations.
• Experience proofreading and editing forms, memos and documents.
• Knowledge of HHSC Community Care Services programs preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on federal/state law interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination, processing, and monitoring of CCSC purchase requests and invoices.
• Provide administrative support to CCSC Director and CAM; arrange travel via eTravel.
• Enter new contracts and amendments in CAPPS Financials.
• Route contract documents for signature and track status.
• Perform quality assessments for contract documents to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with internal/external stakeholders and handle special projects.
