Shift timings: 10 hours Shifts, Days, 7.00a - 5.30p

Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 4 X 10-hr shifts, Weekend and On-call as needed

Position Requirements:

• Cath Lab Tech or Special Procedures Tech experience: 2 years - Required
• Interventional Radiology experience: 2 years - Required
• Prior Travel Nursing experience -Highly preferred

Job Description:

• Conducts IR procedures, Cath lab and specialprocedures.
• Collaborates with physician team to providesafe patient care. Assists with identification, preparation and draping ofpatients, and room preparation for routine procedures.
• Reads physicians' orders/protocols and ifnecessary, communicates with physicians on protocols for routine procedures,and selects equipment in accord with the protocols and regulatory, statutoryand Parkland standards to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment,instituting and recording all preventive maintenance procedures,troubleshooting and reporting or seeking repair to maintain equipmentoperability.
• Conducts maintenance on special proceduresequipment and calibrates such equipment prior to each procedure, instructingtechnologists in the operation of special procedures equipment as needed toensure quality care for patients.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable rules,regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact cardiovasculartechnology and the cardiac labs area. Revises procedures for repeated use ofspecial procedures equipment and develops effective internal controls thatpromote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and the programrequirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state and private healthplans.
• Seeks advice and guidance as necessary toensure proper understanding.
