Sage GroupHealthCare Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist - Home Health in Kettering, OH for a travel/contract position. Full-time, 13-week contract with local and traveler candidates considered. Weekly gross pay ranges from $2320 to $2400, with non-taxable travel/housing stipend available for eligible travelers.

Mileage reimbursement and a 40-hour week are provided. Responsibilities include in-home OT services, supervision of COTAs, and documentation per Medicare guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years OT experience is required.
• Recent/Home Health OT experience of at least 1 year is required.
• Tech-savvy candidates who can train quickly if no home health experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OT services to patients in their homes as ordered by the attending physician.
• Observe, record, and report patient progress to the IDT team.
• Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function using therapeutic means.
• Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management.
• Instruct patients and families on proper use of equipment (wheelchairs, braces, etc).
• Oversee therapy services provided by COTAs and aides when appropriate.
• Communicate supervisory visit results with COTAs and aides.
• Complete clinical documentation per agency protocol and Medicare guidelines.
• Must meet 30 productivity points per week.
• Territories to cover: Kettering, OH and surrounding areas.

Position Requirements:

• Current Occupational Therapist experience: 1- 2years - Required

Education, License, and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy or Similar - Required

Job Description:

• Provide skilled OT services to patients in their homes asordered by the attending physician.

• Instruct patient and family members on proper use of equipment such aswheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthoticdevices.
  
• Oversee and supervise therapy services of patient provided by COTAs andwhen appropriate, nurse assistants.
  
• Communicate with the COTAs and nurse aides on supervisory visit results.
  
• Completes all clinical documentation following agency protocol andMedicare/Federal guidelines.
