Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer for the Continuous Improvement team to develop, write, and edit technical publications including reports, manuals, and instruction books related to work methods and procedures.

The person will collaborate with production, quality, safety, maintenance, and engineering to create clear, actionable documents and to update existing materials. The position requires strong writing skills and the ability to lead documentation

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing skills with solid grammar and clarity.
• Associate’s degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience documenting manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate with Process Leadership Teams (PLTs).
• Experience working with engineers, supervision, and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

• Observe production and development activities to determine procedures and create detailed instructions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, safety, maintenance, and engineering to produce procedures and updates.
• Organize material and write instructions, training forms, and manuals to standards.
• Lead efforts to update and create new work instructions across divisions.
• Maintain organized records of work and revisions; obtain visuals to illustrate material.
