East Penn Manufacturing - Deka Batteries in Lyons, PA is seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist to drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives and waste reduction. You will coach teams, analyze processes, and implement corrective actions while collaborating with plant and functional leaders to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

The role focuses on identifying improvement opportunities, leading workshops, and maintaining SOPs and project repositories to sustain gains across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–7 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1–5 years in a Continuous Improvement role.
• Led 10+ Lean or Six Sigma problem-solving events.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to increase efficiency and quality.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within various departments using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead workshops and training sessions to promote best practices and instill a continuous improvement mindset in team members.
• Collect and analyze performance metrics to track improvement outcomes and report results to management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create process maps and SOPs.
• Develop and maintain a repository of improvement projects, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Work with leaders and managers to mitigate resistance and foster a positive attitude towards change.
