Job summary

Dairy Challenge in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to create, maintain, and sustain CI processes, metrics, and tools across safety, quality, delivery, cost reduction, growth, and innovation.

You will work with functional leaders to identify projects, analyze information, and implement process solutions to improve safety, food safety, and quality programs, plant operations, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain, mathematics, engineering, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
• 2 to 5 years of experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, operations/production, or related experience, preferable in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment
• Project management or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in identification, prioritization, and selection of potential projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and product line margins
• Identify problems, analyze information, and develop process solutions to improve safety, quality, and productivity
• Support investigation and implementation of counter measures to quality or safety concerns
• Track production performance and prepare reports for improvement opportunities
• Instill continuous improvement culture and drive measurable business process improvement
• Provide training on CI principles and tools to employees
• Conduct initial training sessions focusing on product proficiency, safety, quality, and productivity
• Maintain knowledge of plant systems and equipment
• Support cross-functional teams at other DFA facilities as needed
