Job summary

ntnusajobs is seeking an engineer to provide plant-wide engineering support for production, focusing on continual improvement of machinery and processes. The role coordinates across Engineering, Manufacturing and Maintenance to implement process enhancements and safety practices.

The candidate will develop capital project objectives, write specifications, create layouts, obtain quotes, and prepare cost/benefit analyses. A Bachelor’s in engineering or Eng. Tech plus experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (Manufacturing/Production/Mechanical/Industrial) or Eng. Tech with 0–2 years manufacturing experience.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze procedures, write reports and present information clearly.
• Basic knowledge of setup and operation of equipment and process development coordination.
• Familiarity with safety programs, work measurement and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development of improvements to existing processes and coordinates projects across Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance.
• Develop capital project objectives, write specs, layouts, quotes and proposals with cost/benefit summaries.
• Maintain project schedules, coordinate activities, resolve problems and suggest corrective actions.
• Write standard work instructions using MS Office templates for setup, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and lockout/tagout.
• Develop quick changeover methods and tooling; analyze methods to reduce labor and optimize profits.
• Analyze material handling and recommend improved methods and equipment.
• Support plant quality systems, safety programs and productivity goals; participate in continuous improvement.
