Job summary

Mecalux is seeking a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive quality and efficiency improvements across fabrication and assembly operations.

You will develop and implement solutions, train plant staff on new procedures, and lead root cause analyses using ISO 9001 standards. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

Job description

This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and overall plant performance.Drive continuous improvement efforts in the plant in terms of quality (e.g., eliminating waste, reducing process variation, increasing production throughput, and improving manufacturing processes).Develop and implement solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of the various manufacturing processes in fabrication and assembly operations.Prepare manuals and train plant floor workers in the use of new forms, reports, procedures or equipment, focusing training on correct quality check procedures, root cause analysis and corrective action using ISO 9001 certification criteria.Utilize technical skills and operational experience to develop technical solutions for production problems that involve methods, equipment, material replenishment, process controls, error-proofing, overall equipment effectiveness, etc.Ensure plant layout is suitable for an efficient manufacturing process. Review, study, follow, and implement plans and solutions to the production process while conferring with management.Act as a liaison between plant leads, plant workers, and management to accomplish the production objectives set forth by company vision.Maintain records of production suppliers essential for the production process and review delivery records to confirm quality requirements were fulfilled.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Master’s degree preferred.Personality: Candidates must have integrity, be highly analytical, and have a strong desire to be deeply involved in the business.
