Job summary

The Maxfield Group is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager – Manufacturing to lead hands-on CI initiatives across two facilities in New Jersey. You will focus on improving shop floor manufacturing performance, material flow, and KPI-driven gains through Lean principles, Kaizen, and standard work.

Qualified candidates bring 7-10+ years in manufacturing CI/Operational Excellence with a strong Lean background, Kaizen, and RCA; Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in manufacturing CI/Operational Excellence or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong Lean background with hands-on Kaizen, VSM, 5S/6S, Standard Work, RCA, and Line Balancing.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on Continuous Improvement across two facilities focused on shop floor manufacturing performance.
• Identify operational problems and improve production and material flow, driving Lean initiatives with measurable gains in KPI performance.
• Develop KPIs and collaborate across Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize processes and internal logistics.

Continuous Improvement Manager – Manufacturing

• Lead hands-on Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence across two facilities, focused on improving manufacturing performance on the shop floor.


• Identify operational problems and improve production and material flow, driving Lean initiatives that deliver measurable gains in productivity, quality, cost, cycle time, throughput, and KPIs.


• Bring 7-10+ years in manufacturing, CI, Operational Excellence, or Industrial Engineering, with a strong Lean background and hands-on Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/6S, Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis, and Line Balancing.


• Optimize processes and internal logistics using Kanban, pull systems, FIFO, point-of- use material, and replenishment, while developing KPIs and collaborating across Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.


• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and regulated/pharma/life sciences experience. This is not an SAP role, though SAP/ERP/MES exposure is a plus.
