Job summary

Stryker seeks a seasoned leader to drive continuous improvement and manage the site project portfolio. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, apply Lean and Six Sigma, and guide teams through scoping, execution, and benefits realization across the manufacturing site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in operational excellence or related projects, strong data analysis skills, and a track record of coaching leaders in DMAIC and lean practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years leading continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing or project management in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years facilitating Lean tools and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement and project management initiatives from scope to implementation.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping, Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and problem-solving to reduce waste.
  • Manage the site project portfolio and communicate performance using standard processes.
  • Analyze data, run time studies, labor modeling, and line balancing for optimization.
  • Coach leaders on Lean principles and Six Sigma while maintaining the improvement roadmap.

Job description

Join Stryker in a role that combines continuous improvement leadership with project portfolio management to support operational excellence across the site. This position leads cross-functional initiatives, applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and manages strategic projects that align with business and manufacturing objectives. The role offers the opportunity to work across functions, drive process improvement activities, and support the advancement of a high-performing operational environment.

What You Will Do
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement and project management initiatives from scope definition through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping, Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and problem-solving activities to identify waste, improve process flow, and support productivity targets.
  • Manage the site project portfolio, track progress against commitments, and communicate performance through standardized project management processes.
  • Analyze operational and manufacturing data, conduct time studies, labor modeling, capacity assessments, and line balancing activities to support process optimization decisions.
  • Coach leaders and teams on Lean manufacturing principles, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools while maintaining the site continuous improvement knowledge base and 12-month Kaizen roadmap.
What You Will Need
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, operational excellence, or project management initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience facilitating Lean tools and methodologies, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events, standard work, and process flow improvement.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing cross-functional projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience conducting data analysis, time studies, productivity assessments, and process performance evaluations.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent).
  • Experience coaching teams and leaders in DMAIC methodology and Lean Six Sigma problem-solving approaches.
United States of America Pay Ranges:

$129,800 - $216,400 USD Annual
