Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5–7 years of experience in continuous improvement or related fields.
  • Relevant Lean Six Sigma knowledge and project leadership experience.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager with experience in strategic planning, project management, change management, data analytics, and process improvement to cultivate a high-performance organizational culture. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a citywide continuous improvement program that enhances service delivery, increases efficiency, and builds organizational problem-solving capabilities. This role leads the design of standardized improvement methodologies, delivers Lean Six Sigma training, and supports departments in identifying and implementing high-impact improvements. This position works under general direction and collaborates across departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Essential Functions
  • This role will handle complex issues and problems while referring the most challenging issues to more senior level staff. The position provides leadership, coaching and or mentoring across the organization.
  • Program Development, Implementation and Leadership
  • Develops and implements a citywide continuous improvement framework, including standards, tools, and governance structures
  • Establishes and leads a Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence to provide training, resources, and support across departments
  • Designs and manages a structured improvement program (e.g., academy or cohort-based model) to build organizational capability
  • Aligns continuous improvement initiatives with city strategic priorities and operational goals
  • Project Leadership and Support
  • Leads and supports cross-functional process improvement projects with citywide impact
  • Identifies, prioritizes, and scopes improvement opportunities based on data and organizational priorities
  • Applies Lean methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery
  • Ensures sustainability of improvements through standard work, performance metrics, and accountability structures
  • Training and Capacity Building
  • Develops and delivers Lean Six Sigma training (e.g., Yellow Belt, Green Belt) to employees at all levels
  • Facilitates workshops, Kaizen events, and improvement cohorts
  • Coaches staff and leaders in process improvement tools, including process mapping, root cause analysis, and DMAIC
  • Builds internal capacity through a train-the-trainer approach and communities of practice
  • Culture and Change Management
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee engagement
  • Partners with leaders to support change management and adoption of new processes
  • Encourages data-informed decision-making and problem-solving across the organization
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting
  • Develops and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to improvement initiatives
  • Monitors and reports on outcomes, including efficiency gains, cost savings, and service improvements
  • Uses data analysis to inform decision-making and prioritize future initiatives
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Builds strong relationships across departments to align efforts and drive results
  • Communicates complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, including executive leadership
  • Serves as a trusted advisor on continuous improvement and operational excellence

Pay Rate: $50-$54/hr

Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, organizational development, engineering, or a related field or 5–7 years of experience in continuous improvement, project execution, operational excellence, or process improvement. Experience leading cross-functional projects and facilitating groups and experience developing or delivering training programs.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and methodologies
    • Process improvement and performance measurement techniques
    • Organizational change management principles
    • Data analysis and reporting methods
    • Computer applications and related software
  • Proven ability to lead without authority in a complex multi-department environment
  • Ability to:
    • facilitate workshops and train staff across multiple levels of the organization
    • lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority
    • analyze complex processes and identify improvement opportunities
    • communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
    • build relationships and foster collaboration across departments
    • promote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement
  • apply creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and seize opportunities for improvement
  • communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance
  • and perform all essential functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in local government or the public sector
