Job summary

Novus Foods LLC in Ohio is hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist who acts as the site’s primary problem solver, applying structured CI methods and data-driven analysis to close gaps in safety, quality, throughput, delivery, and cost.

This role owns the digital performance platform (L2L or Redzone per site standard), ensures data integrity, and leads OEE improvement with a focus on end-to-end projects on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of demonstrated superior Continuous Improvement skills in a machine/manufacturing environment.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification, Green Belt or higher, strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of core CI methods: 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, fishbone diagrams, PDCA and Kaizen.
• Working understanding of OEE and related performance metrics.
• Experience using data visualization tools (Tableau) to drive business discussions.
• Ability to train and coach teams on CI principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate rollout of new or revised CI processes at the site with training, coaching, and follow-up.
• Build and maintain visual management boards and aids with operators and supervisors.
• Own improvement projects end to end from gap identification to countermeasure and sustainment.
• Serve as site owner of digital performance platform (L2L or Redzone) including configuration and daily use.
• Lead daily/weekly huddles, Gemba walks, and escalation routines per site MOS.
• Maintain data integrity, downtime coding, rate settings, and shift-level completeness.
• Coach and mentor system owners on Lean principles and CI practices.
• Partner with EHS, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to safeguard food safety outcomes.
