Tobin Scientific is seeking a Continuous Improvement & Integration Manager to build a CI capability from the ground up in a rapidly growing pharma logistics 3PL. You will partner with Executive Management to prioritize high-impact projects spanning warehouse, fleet, operations, and technology integration.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma expertise, strong data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence across functions without direct authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Biology/Chemistry, Operations or Supply Chain.
• 4–8+ years in manufacturing, distribution, ops, or process engineering.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in process mapping, VSM, and root-cause tools.
• Fluent with KPIs, dashboards and data visualization.
• Experience in pharma, life sciences, or regulated environments preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or PMP certification a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS and BI tools; ability to influence without authority.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; executive presentation skills.

Your Role

Tobin Scientific is seeking a Continuous Improvement & Integration Manager to shape a strategic capability from the ground up, catalyzing change at a rapidly-growing 3PL provider in the pharma and life sciences industries. This is a rare opportunity to partner directly with Executive Management to identify and execute a high-leverage portfolio of projects spanning warehouse and fleet operations, business operations, and technology integration. The ideal candidate moves comfortably across the organization, building rapport with frontline teams and translating operational insight into data-driven solutions using Lean/Six Sigma methodology. Beyond day-to-day process improvements, this role will support integration efforts tied to active M&A activity, touching multiple facets of the company's strategic growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Executive Management to establish a dedicated Continuous Improvement group, enabling best-in-class service, and an ambitious strategic vision
• Identify, prioritize, and manage a pipeline of high-leverage projects across warehouse & fleet operations, business operations, and technology implementation
• Build organizational capability and a culture of Continuous Improvement by coaching leaders in CI tools and structured problem-solving
• Move fluidly between digital and physical systems, across departments and organizational levels; partner with frontline teams to surface relevant pain points, and report effectively into the Executive function
• Conduct end-to-end process analysis, mapping, and redesign; identify bottlenecks, waste, and growth opportunities
• Facilitate structured problem-solving and Lean/Six Sigma events (e.g. Kaizen, VSM, A3, DMAIC, PDCA, Gemba walks)
• Lead cross-functional projects end-to-end including: scoping, ROI analysis, planning, project management, budgeting, relevant change management, and hand-off to Ops
• Ensure projects/programs are delivered on time and budget, according to the highest possible standards
• Support integration-related process design work adjacent to active M&A activity, coordinating with the Integration Team where cross-functional process or data alignment is required

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following (or equivalent practical experience): Engineering, Business, Biology/Chemistry, Operations, or Supply Chain Management; advanced degree a plus
• 4–8+ years relevant experience in manufacturing, distribution, ops, or process engineering
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion
• Strong analytical and statistical skills; proficiency with process mapping, VSM, and root cause analysis tools (e.g. A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, PDCA)
• Fluent with KPIs, dashboards, and data visualization tools
• Demonstrated success improving efficiency in ambiguous or newly-formed functions
• Prior exposure to pharma, life sciences, or regulated environments preferred
• Relevant certifications considered a plus: Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt), PMP/PMI certification
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS (or similar operational systems), Business Intelligence (BI) Tools (e.g. MS Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.), and Proj. Mgmt. tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet)
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across organizational levels without direct authority, including an ability to quickly build trust with frontline staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong executive presentation ability
• Comfort in an entrepreneurial, high-accountability culture where scope can evolve quickly

Minimum Annual Compensation:

This position offers a minimum base salary of $135,000 per year.

Compensation for roles at Tobin varies based on factors such as office location, role responsibilities, relevant experience, education, and specific skill sets. As required by local law, Tobin provides a reasonable, good‑faith compensation range for positions hired in Massachusetts and New York. Actual pay will reflect job‑related qualifications, geographic considerations, and other applicable factors.
