Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

We’re a high-impact manufacturing team focused on advancing PCVD process performance through disciplined quality practices and continuous improvement. Our Fab 4 environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and grounded in data‑driven decision making. We take pride in building a strong quality culture where every team member contributes to operational excellence!

The Continuous Improvement Engineer plays a central role in driving quality performance within the PCVD area. It’s an opportunity to be a primary contact for area‑level quality topics, influence daily quality outcomes, improve systems and efficiencies, and strengthen how work gets done across the fab. You will ensure timely and accurate documentation for quality events including lessons learned and corrective actions, drive root cause analysis and lead excursion follow‑up through G8D process to track actions to completion. Advocating for high‑quality standards for the PCVD area, you will serve on the fab quality committee, drive a quality culture and partner with stakeholders to ensure quality policies, training expectations and system changes are embedded in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Use dashboards, SPC, FDC, and alarm data to identify trends, reduce repeat issues, and validate improvements
  • Promote strong quality culture through mentoring, training alignment, and reinforcement of Manufacturing 12 Disciplines
  • Prepare and support internal, ISO, IATF, and customer audits, including follow‑ups on findings
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities for AI‑enabled quality and efficiency gains
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high‑volume production environments required
  • Hands‑on experience with quality concepts including deviation, SPC and standards of work, driving root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving methods (e.g., 8D, G8D)
  • Experience analyzing data including SPC, FDC, and data‑driven quality tools
  • Ability to effectively influence cross‑functional teams and drive accountability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in PCVD or thin film deposition processes
  • Background in quality systems, audits, and compliance frameworks (ISO, IATF)
  • Experience improving quality metrics such as defect reduction and excursion management
  • Exposure to TPM practices and continuous improvement methodologies
