What You'll Get to Do

The Continuous Improvement Engineer II reports to the Director of Operations and focuses on value stream mapping.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with excellent communication skills. As a vital member of the continuous improvement team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Responsibilities include:
  • Perform value stream mapping, time studies, lead Kaizen events, create Standard Work, conduct audits/Gemba Walks, develop PFD, FMEA, Control Plans, Job Element Sheets, and conduct root cause analysis using tools like 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and A3.
  • Utilize voice of the customer data for decision-making and apply problem-solving tools to determine root causes and countermeasures.
  • Resolve a wide range of issues creatively, with a good understanding of lean principles, quality systems, and statistical tools. Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles for process improvement.
  • Understand key business drivers to accomplish work effectively.
  • Possess training in lean six sigma tools/concepts and quality management tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with Toyota Production Systems, manufacturing processes, understanding of drawings, specifications, standards, and familiarity with machined parts.
