Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) in Blair, WI is seeking a CI/Engineering professional to lead continuous improvement initiatives across the plants.

Responsibilities include developing KPIs, SOPs, and driving Lean practices, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. The role supports EHS compliance, plans capital projects, and collaborates with leadership to embed Lean into strategic planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3 years of CI related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• A well-rounded knowledge of continuous improvement tools and regulations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics to measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions to promote consistent practices.
• Support Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance across facilities.
• Provide a strong EHS floor presence in production, maintenance and material handling areas.
• Review safety issues and incidents and develop plans for resolution.
• Plan and direct process improvement projects; lead group problem solving.
• Conduct Lean assessments to measure success and identify refinement areas.
• Champion continuous improvement by coaching and encouraging employees.
• Integrate Lean principles into strategic planning and decision-making.
• Research systems and processes to implement tools and processes for best practices.
• Assist in developing capital projects to improve efficiency.
• Manage project plans and budgets to ensure on-time delivery and within budget.
• Communicate professionally with staff and maintain vendor relationships.
• Troubleshoot equipment and controls systems.
• Adhere to GMP and QA policies.

Education
