Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a data-driven professional to lead Lean/continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations in New York.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering and 2–3+ years of CI experience, with strong Lean/Six Sigma and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3+ years in continuous improvement or related manufacturing roles.
• Strong Lean/Six Sigma and root-cause analysis knowledge.
• Experience with SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and corrective action.
• Strong Excel/data analysis skills; Power BI or ERP/MES experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean/continuous improvement projects and Kaizen activities.
• Analyze production data, scrap, rework, downtime, and cycle time.
• Perform root cause analysis using 5 Whys, 8D, Pareto, and Fishbone.
• Improve processes, workflow, yield, and production efficiency.
• Develop standard work, process controls, and performance metrics.
• Support 5S, value-stream mapping, waste reduction, and process optimization.
• Train teams on Lean tools and problem-solving methods.
