Job summary

Perrigo in Michigan is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to provide technical support for incident investigations across our manufacturing facilities.

You will lead root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, and work with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma. The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving and cGMP familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and cGMP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with staff at all levels.
  • Experience with investigations and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

Description Overview

The Continuous Improvement Engineer provides technical support as it relates to incident/deviation investigations for all commercialized products at Perrigo facilities within Michigan.

Scope of the Role
  • Provide technical expertise and support to identify root causes of incidents and deviations
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents and deviations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate investigations and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of improvement in manufacturing processes
    Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance continuous improvement efforts.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
  • Knowledge of principles, concepts and practices in pharmaceutical sciences and manufacturing processes.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organization and communication skills, ability to work effectively with staffmembers at all levels, strong technical writing skills, familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, including experience with investigations and/or developing andrecommending process improvements.
  • Computer literacy with a working knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects with minimal guidance and to meet project deadlines.
