Job summary

Kinsa Group seeks a Continuous Improvement & Industrial Engineering Engineer in Northwestern Iowa to lead activities that optimize plant performance, safety, and efficiency. This hands-on role collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.

Responsibilities include leading 5S, Kaizen, SOP development, TPM, and capital projects with ROI focus, while partnering with maintenance to improve uptime and reliability across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline (IE/Manufacturing/Mechanical).
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering or process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen events, SOPs, TPM) to drive efficiency.
• Advance safety, quality, productivity, and waste-reduction projects.
• Develop standardized work practices and process documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to boost equipment reliability and uptime.
• Design and optimize layouts, workflows, and material flow.
• Manage small-to-medium capital projects with ROI and safety in mind.

What You'll Do:

As a key player in our manufacturing operations, the Continuous Improvement & Industrial Engineering Engineer will lead initiatives to optimize plant performance, enhance safety, and improve overall efficiency. This highly visible, hands‑on role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.

• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen events, SOP development, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement standardized work practices and process documentation.
• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Design and optimize plant layouts, workflows, and material flow for efficiency.
• Manage small-to-medium capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring ROI and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or process improvement roles.
