Job summary

Safran Cabin in Carson, California seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply Lean and Six Sigma to improve process efficiency, quality, and productivity. You will lead Kaizen events, map processes, and sustain QRQC while contributing to safety and environmental programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2+ years in CI/manufacturing, preferably in aerospace. Strong data analysis, communication, and cross-functional collaboration are essential in this dynamic team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing processes.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience in Aerospace or related industry desired.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies – Basic.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing – Basic.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with internal and external customers.
  • Capable of managing large amounts of data and multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Plans and leads basic Lean Sigma projects (Kaizen Events/ One Safran).
  • Participates in implementing advanced lean methodologies (VSM, SMED, TPM & DMAIC).
  • Develops process mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement through business processes.
  • Supports development of Lean Six Sigma methodologies by eliminating production wastes.
  • Sustains the QRQC program and evaluates business metrics accuracy.
  • Promotes problem-solving methodologies and develops innovative solutions.

This position is a Continuous Improvement professional role, who applies Lean Manufacturing activities to improve our operations regarding with process efficiency, quality, productivity and savings.This position contributes to our vision by:• Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;• Supports the site's projects roadmap implementation aligned with Hoshin Plan• Plans and leads basic Lean Sigma projects (Kaizen Events/ One Safran)• Participates in the implementation of advance lean Methodologies (VSM, SMED, TPM & DMAIC)• Develop process mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement trough business• Support development of Lean six sigma methodologies by eliminating production wastes• Sustains the QRQC program.
