Job summary

DO & CO group in New York is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Director at JFK to lead process optimization across our US locations. You will champion Lean Six Sigma initiatives, drive KPI reporting, and partner with Operations, Production, Supply Chain and Quality to deliver measurable improvements.

This role requires travel to all US units and a hands-on approach to coaching teams in problem-solving and waste reduction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required (Black Belt preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing, food production, aviation, or other high-volume operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, project management, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environments.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives across airline catering operations.
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste reduction opportunities to improve productivity and service levels.
  • Analyze and optimize workflows across production, logistics, warehousing, and catering delivery processes.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs to drive operational excellence.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring challenges.
  • Partner with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to all US units to support food safety and HACCP compliance.
  • Manage improvement projects from planning through implementation and results measurement.
  • Train and coach employees on Lean methodologies and problem-solving tools.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through labor optimization and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and coach employees on Lean methodologies, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Drive cost‑saving initiatives through labor optimization, waste reduction, and process efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required (Black Belt preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing, food production, aviation, or other high-volume operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, project management, leadership, and problem‑solving skills, with experience driving measurable business results through process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in high‑volume, fast‑paced, and time‑sensitive operational environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and operational reporting tools.
  • All airport‑related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR
  • 1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport‑issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
