Job summary

NGK CERAMICS USA, INC. is seeking an extrusion production operator at our Mooresville, NC facility. The role involves operating and monitoring extrusion and pugging processes to meet ceramic product specifications.

You will set up the GHCM, adjust equipment, and document parameters in logs and APICS. The job requires hands-on control of process variables, attention to quality, and adherence to 5S and EMS procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating extrusion processes.
• Familiarity with APICS/PCIS systems to input data.
• Ability to perform change-overs and die adjustments.
• Commitment to 5S, EMS and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion and pugging processes.
• Set up GHCM and record settings on logs.
• Adjust cradle kicker, transfer and feeder settings; verify operations.
• Perform start-up procedures and record process data.
• Handle weight samples and input into APICS terminal.
• Clean machine components and manage tooling data in SPC.
• Handle contaminated material and move to confinement area.
• Execute change-overs and record die adjustments.
